PARK HYATT NISEKO HANAZONO: A Year-Round Luxury Mountain Retreat in Japan’s Premier Ski Destination

Set in a spectacular natural landscape with stunning mountain views including Mount Yotei, Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono offers guests enriching experiences steeped in carefully curated art, fine cuisine and contemporary design. This is the third Park Hyatt brand property in Japan after Park Hyatt Tokyo and Park Hyatt Kyoto, bringing the Park Hyatt brand’s refined home-away-from-home hospitality to the northern island of Hokkaido.

 

Hanazono Resort

The hotel is located in Hanazono, on the northeastern side of Mount Annupuri, providing guests with privacy in a picturesque natural environment with ski-in/ski-out convenience. The exclusive Hanazono side of Mount Annupuri is known for its exceptional powder snow, world-class skiing and snowboarding facilities, as well as Hanazono Golf course, natural onsen hot springs, abundant lush nature and majestic mountains. Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono is approximately a 2-hour drive from New Chitose Airport near Sapporo and a 10-minute drive from Kutchan train station.

 

Concept and Design

Designed primarily by Melbourne’s BAR studio in conjunction with Nikken Sekkei and Fujita Corporation as a stylish year-round mountain escape, the hotel is surrounded by pristine wilderness underscored by a sense of calm, matched with the signature sophistication of the Park Hyatt brand. In addition to ski valet services on-site, the hotel offers a variety of unique experiences throughout the year with Park Hyatt’s personal and customized services to ensure a memorable stay.

 

Guestrooms 

Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono offers 100 hotel guest rooms, including 28 suites, with floor-to-ceiling windows for guests to enjoy breathtaking views. Guestrooms range from 700 to 1,755 square feet (65 square meters to 163 square meters) and feature a large master bedroom, a separate living room with plush sofa convertible into an extra bed, a generous walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with rain shower and soaking bathtub. Nine of the suites come with a private hot spring onsen, ideal for a leisurely soak after an active day. Situated on the hotel’s top floor, the exclusive Annupuri Suite and Yotei Suite offer dramatic views of Mount Yotei that can be enjoyed from the oversized onsen. In addition to the hotel guest rooms, there are more than 60 Park Hyatt-branded residences – ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments.

 

Drinking and Dining

Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono offers an extensive selection of cuisines highlighting authentic craftsmanship and the local produce sourced from the land and the sea. Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono works closely with Hokkaido farmers and markets to ensure products of the highest quality. The hotel’s six restaurants serve robatayaki style Japanese barbeque, Teppanyaki, Italian, Chinese, as well as sushi and French terroir cuisine by two Michelin-starred chefs. Private dining rooms, bars, lounges and wine cellars can be reserved for intimate gatherings and exclusive events.

 

Wellbeing

Park Hyatt Niseko’s award-winning spa offers a wide range of body and facial treatments. Six treatment rooms include two couple treatment rooms with a private onsen. Guests can also relax in the 80 foot (25 meter) heated indoor pool and hot spring onsen baths or enjoy a refreshing workout in the health club.

A true year-round mountain resort, Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono offers guests a wide selection of enriching outdoor experiences from skiing, snowboarding, snow rafting and snowshoeing in winter to golfing, horse-riding, whiskey brewery visits, canoeing in the Shiribetsu River and mountain biking in the surrounding lush forest.

Weddings at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono are centered on the personalized event planning and the celebration of a lifelong commitment. Located at the edge of Mt. Annupuri, the outdoor chapel surrounded by water sets the stage for a stunning and memorable wedding ceremony. The chapel is connected to a ballroom with a spacious show kitchen for a seamless transition to an intimate lunch or elaborate dinner celebration.

The chapel is a part of the Events Village, a multi-functional collection of venues purposefully designed to create extraordinary events featuring two event rooms and a separate wine cellar. Whether it be an off-site corporate meeting, an elaborate fashion event or an intimate social dinner, the Park Hyatt’s events team will create tailor-made experiences to suit every need.
