So, what does CCRA stand for?

Computerized Corporate Rate Association

But we outgrew that old acronym long ago. Today, we are a diverse family of brands, or a network, designed to facilitate commerce between travel professionals and industry suppliers. We provide innovative marketing programs, booking tools, call center solutions, education and training, association and even accreditation for our elite customers. We’re not your typical association – but we like to think we capture the best of everything.

Our Name

CCRA originally stood for Computerized Corporate Rate Association, but like most travel industry organizations these days we’ve surely outgrown that acronym and evolved into something far greater.

A New Breed of Call Center is Born

We pioneered the first 24/7 after hours call center of its kind.

1990
We Launch Hotel Rate Codes

We launch our rate codes for GDS-enabled agencies, allowing agents access to exclusive, discounted rates and revenue opportunities.

1994
CCRA Goes Virtual

CCRA becomes the first call center organization to utilize virtual agents.

1997
The Hotel Portal is Born

Now called CCRA, we launch the first-ever booking portal for global hotel inventory, especially for our call center customers.

2006
OurLink Takes Over

…And completely revolutionizes the organization. Under new leadership, CCRA begins to offer enhanced products and services and thrive under Dic Marxen.

2006
The Hotel Portal Launches

CCRA develops and launches the first standalone hotel booking platform offering enhanced amenities and revenue opportunities for travel agents.

2009
CCRA Doubles the Size of Their Call Center

CCRA acquires Hickory’s after hours call center.

2011
CCRA Launches Global Network

CCRA implements global initiative and adds agency clients in more than 60 countries.

2012
A #1 Blog is Born

CCRA Launches ccratravelagentblog.com, the #1 ranked travel agent blog by Google.

2013
We Go into the Air Business

CCRA Launches the Air Partner Network, subsequently developing the AirSelect program for both GDS and non-GDS agencies to earn top-tier commissions.

2014
CCRA Acquires OSSN

CCRA acquires the premier association for Independent Travel Professionals, seeking to expand products and services for these agents.

2015
CCRA Launches New Global Membership Structures

CCRA fully integrates the OSSN and TRUE family into CCRA providing increased support, products and promotion in the industry.

CCRA Unveils New Website

For the first time, CCRA and all of its products, services and benefits can be found under one roof.

2018
CCRA Launches Elite Pro

CCRA announces the industry’s best amenities-driven program for top performing travel agencies.

2018
CCRA Launches PowerSolutions National

CCRA develops a brand-new 3 day conference for CCRA member agencies and travel industry partners.

2020
Industry Leaders Join Forces

CCRA Travel Commerce Network and ABC Global Services joined forces, merging their hotel programs into a unified offering. This collaboration combined CCRA’s Global Preferred Hotel Program and ABC’s Premier Hotel Program, creating the ABC•CCRA Premier Hotel Program. Together, they established the largest and most comprehensive hotel consortia program, covering over 50,000 properties at the time and growing.

2022
CCRA Demonstrates Dedication and Resiliency

The CCRA Travel Commerce Network, like much of the travel industry, faced significant challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. The global shutdowns, travel restrictions, and hesitancy among travelers severely impacted revenues and operations. However, CCRA adapted by leveraging its virtual workforce, technology platforms and dedicated networks to support travelers and the travel industry.

We Plant the "CCRA Forest"

We continue to drive our commitment to sustainability with the announcement of a new biodiversity project coined the “CCRA Forest.” As part of the project, CCRA has already planted more than 1,200 trees this year with a project goal of planting 53,000 trees covering 48 hectares in total.
