Meet your Altanta Chapter Director, Markgetta Langford!

I began my travel business with the encouragement of my husband Darryl, a retired Army Aviation Officer.  It was his insight to one day own a travel agency so that upon retirement, we could travel the world with military friends who had become family. 

I utilize my eye for detail and passion for business development and event planning, to focus on managing and growing supplier relationships for our agency. This partnership development helps to expand vendor and supplier outreach, ensuring the company is able to offer clients the best in-destination experiences.

I am the co-author of "The Ultimate Travel Agent Planner ™", a resource for travel agents serious about being organized in their event management and travel planning business. 

In the world of academia, I earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Southern University and A & M College [Baton Rouge, LA], hold a Master's in Business Administration [Heidelberg, GE] and I am a current Doctoral in Business Administration Candidate.  I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, one of the preeminent service-based sororities whose focus is sisterhood, scholarship, service, and addressing the social issues of the time.

Through my philanthropic endeavors, I sit on various charitable boards and am an active volunteer in my community.  I serve as the Chief Operating Officer and Funding Director for Community Life Foundation International, an Outreach Ministry established by my husband [Minister Darryl Langford], and a City of Fayetteville (GA) Councilman.  Darryl and I have four children. Christopher is a businessman in Humble, Texas; Brittanie is a retired Air Force Weather Forecaster and Instructor; Malcolm is an Elementary School Teacher. Both live here in Georgia, and Darryl (named after HER dad) is a Marine Corps Officer stationed in Hawaii. I also have three beautiful grandchildren (Eddie, Lily, and Evelyn).  

"I cannot begin to share how excited I am to be a part of the CCRA Family.  When I started this endeavor, the world and travel were temporarily halted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Coming out of the global shutdown, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer.  Working through all of this and being a part of CCRA helped me stay focused on something bigger than myself.  Knowing I am assisting agents in developing their travel business by connecting them with suppliers and information is an experience words cannot convey. Living by example and being of service to others is the preeminent way to give God the Glory.  We are blessed to be a blessing.  Creating once-in-a-lifetime events is my SUPERPOWER!"
