April 23, 2017 | Johannesburg – 1 Night
Overnight: City Lodge O.R. Tambo, Johannesburg Meals: None included for this day
Program: Arrive at the Johannesburg
Airport. Check into the City Lodge O.R. Tambo for 1 night on Bed & Breakfast basis. This hotel is conveniently located next to the airport. Dinner is on your own account.
April 24, 2017 | Karongwe Private Game Reserve, Greater Kruger – 2 Nights – B/L/D
Overnight: Karongwe Chisomo Safari Tented Camp
Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner
Program: After breakfast, check out of the hotel and walk to the check-in counters to check in for your flight to Hoedspruit in the Greater Kruger Park. Upon arrival at the Hoedspruit Airport, be transferred to Karongwe Private Game Reserve. Check into the Karongwe Chisomo Safari Tented Camp and have lunch. While visiting the Karongwe Private Game Reserve, you will have the opportunity of seeing other lodges in the reserve. Enjoy a game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Each of the full days at the Private Game Reserve will include: All meals and two daily game drives in open Landrover vehicles with your skilled ranger and tracker to find the animals of Africa for you to admire. This is Big 5 Country…..Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo all of which are possible to see during your stay at this private game reserve. Each morning, expect an early wake up call and gather for refreshments before heading out at first light. The “big cats” may still be around after their night of hunting. During the day, there is ample free time go on a guided walking safari, to relax or participate in several optional activities. Late afternoon, convene for high tea, before departing for the day’s second African Bush Safari. Enjoy a sundowner drink along the way, get out of the vehicle to stretch your legs, and watch the sun go down over the distant Drakensberg Mountains. As darkness descends, it’s time to continue the Game Drive to let the tracker scan the landscape with a spotlight picking out the glinting eyes of nocturnal animals. Return to the camp for dinner.
April 25, 2017 | Karongwe Private Game Reserve, Greater Kruger – B/L/D
Overnight: Karongwe Chisomo Safari Tented Camp
Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner
Program: Get up early for a game drive. Stop along the way for some refreshments. Return to the camp for breakfast. Enjoy the day at leisure or join your skilled game ranger on a guided walking safari. Enjoy lunch and some more relaxing before departing for your afternoon/evening game drive. Return to the camp for dinner.
April 26, 2017 | Kapama Private Game Reserve, Greater Kruger – 2 Nights – B/L/D
Overnight: Kapama River Lodge
Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner
Program: Wake-up call will be around 5:30 AM followed by tea & coffee, then depart for your morning game drive. Return to the lodge by 9:30 AM for breakfast. Check out and depart the Karongwe Game Reserve at 11:00 AM and transfer to the Kapama Private Game Reserve. Check into the Kapama River Lodge Suites or SPA Suites and have lunch. While visiting the Kapama Private Game Reserve, you will have the opportunity of seeing other lodges in the reserve. Enjoy a game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
April 27, 2017 | Kapama Private Game Reserve, Greater Kruger – B/L/D
Overnight: Kapama River Lodge
Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner
Program: Enjoy this second day at the Kapama River Lodge with morning and afternoon/evening game drives.
April 28, 2017 | Cape Town – Commodore Hotel - 3 Nights
Overnight: Commodore Hotel
Meals: Breakfast
Program: Arrive at the Johannesburg Airport. Go through passport control and customs, and check in for your flight to Cape Town. Upon arrival at the Cape Town Airport, be met by your private driver/guide and transferred to your hotel in Cape Town, the Commodore Hotel, conveniently located on the famous V&A Waterfront. Check into your Standard Room for 3 nights on Bed & Breakfast basis.
April 29, 2017 | Cape Town – Table Mountain/City/V&A Waterfront/Wine Estate – B
Overnight: Commodore Hotel
Meals: Breakfast
Program: After breakfast, visit Table Mountain via the Cable Car (weather permitting), the World’s new Seventh Wonder, or visit Signal Hill (if weather does not allow visit to Table Mountain’s summit). Visit Jewel Africa for a diamond cutting demonstration. You will also find exquisitely unique hand crafted jewelry pieces, authentic African craft, décor and gift items. Have a City Tour, ending up on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront to have lunch at a local restaurant (on your own account). In the afternoon, visit the Original T-Bag Designs in Hout Bay, a local community project. Continue to a local wine estate and hotel for a site inspection. Return to your hotel. Dinner is on your own account.
April 30, 2017 | Cape Town – Cape Point – B
Overnight: Commodore Hotel
Meals: Breakfast
Program: After breakfast depart from your hotel and travel along the beautiful coast and along the spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive. Visit Cape Point, the most south-western point of the African Continent. Walk to the top of the mountain and enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean and the surrounding area. Have lunch at a restaurant overlooking False Bay. After lunch visit the local African Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach. If time permits, visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy these beautiful gardens and the diverse selection of local plants and flowers. Return to your hotel for a free evening. Dinner is on your own account.
May 1, 2017 | Stellenbosch Winelands - Lanzerac Hotel & Spa - 1 Night – B/D
Overnight: Lanzerac Hotel & Spa
Meals: Breakfast; Dinner
Program: After breakfast, check out of the Portswood Hotel and travel to the Stellenbosch Winelands. Visit the Taal Monument, a monument for the Afrikaans Language. Enjoy the beautiful view of the surrounding area and all the way to Table Mountain. Visit the Spice Route and have lunch at a local restaurant (on your own account). Drive through Stellenbosch, the second-oldest town in South Africa. Proceed to the Lanzerac Wine Estate and check into the Lanzerac Hotel & Spa for 1 night. You will tour their local wine cellar followed by a wine tasting of their locally produced wines. Next, you will have a site inspection of this hotel complex. A Farewell Dinner will be served at one of the restaurants on this wine estate.
May 2, 2017 | Return Home – B
After breakfast, check out and be transferred to the Cape Town Airport to check in for your flight to return to the U.S. - Arrive back in the U.S.A. the following day.

April 19, 2017 | Victoria Falls – 2 Nights – B/D
Overnight: Victoria Falls Safari Lodge
Meals: Breakfast; Dinner
Program: After breakfast, check in for your flight to Victoria Falls. Remember to have US$30 in cash to pay for your Visa upon arrival at the Victoria Falls Airport! Upon arrival at the Victoria Falls Airport, go through customs and be transferred to the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. Check in for 2 nights. Settle into your rooms before being transferred to the A’Zambezi Lodge for a site inspection. Next, enjoy a Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi River. You will have the opportunity of seeing various animals and abundant birdlife on this sunset cruise. Drinks and snacks will be served along the way. After the cruise, be transferred to the Boma – Place of Eating, where you will experience an unforgettable evening of Zimbabwe cuisine with live entertainment, including dancers, singers, local story teller and drumming. Return to the lodge for overnight.
April 20, 2017 | Victoria Falls – B/L/D
Overnight: Victoria Falls Safari Lodge Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner Program: After breakfast, tour the spectacular Victoria Falls, one of the greatest natural wonders of the world. Visit the local craft market where you will be able to purchase hand-crafted items directly from the local craftsmen. Visit the Batonka Guest Lodge for a site inspection. Next, enjoy a Home Hosted Lunch in a local home. In the afternoon visit the Elephant Camp, a luxury tented lodge, for a site inspection. If time permits, experience an elephant interaction. Visit the Lookout Point for a site inspection. Return to the lodge to freshen up. Enjoy dinner at the lodge.
April 21, 2017 | Chobe, Botswana – 2 Nights – B/L/D
Overnight: Chobe Safari Lodge Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner Program: Enjoy breakfast, overlooking the water hole. Check out of your room, be picked up from the Lodge and transfer to the Imbabala Lodge for a site inspection. Next, be transferred across the border into Botswana to the Chobe Safari Lodge which lies on the Chobe River. If you enjoy bird watching, this is the place to be! Enjoy lunch before departing for your afternoon game activity, a sunset game cruise on the Chobe River. You will have the chance of seeing abundant game such as hippos, elephants, and crocodile, as well as abundant bird life. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
April 22, 2017 | Chobe, Botswana – B/L/D
Overnight: Chobe Safari Lodge Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner Program: Get up early for your morning game drive in the Chobe National Park. The Chobe National Park is known for its large numbers of elephant and for its prolific bird life. Your will also see other game, including the Puku, an antelope endemic to this region. Return to your lodge for breakfast. Enjoy the day, relaxing around the pool overlooking the waterhole. After lunch and a rest, depart for your afternoon sunset game cruise on the Chobe River. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
April 23, 2017 | Continue with the South Africa FAM/Educational Trip – B
Meals: Breakfast Program: Get up early for your morning boat cruise on the Chobe River. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Mid-morning, check out of your room and be picked up from the Lodge to transfer to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Continue with the South Africa FAM/Educational Trip.
